Position Details:

  • Location: BayCare Bardmoor Surgery Center, 8787 Bryan Diary Road, Largo, FL 33777

  • Status: PRN, As-Needed

  • Shift: Variable

  • On Call: No

  • Always in person

The Ambulatory Surgery RN responsibilities include:

  • RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

  • RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

  • RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

  • RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we require at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year RN experience in Surgery preferred. This is a PRN position that will be focused on circulating Ambulatory Surgery. A minimum of one year of Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience is strongly preferred. Experience in Pre-Op and PACU preferred as this role may float to support these areas.

Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • RN (Registered Nurse)

  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

  • Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

  • Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing

  • Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience:

  • Required 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.

  • Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
