Role and Responsibilities

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a PR expert to join its integrated marketing team to help lead creation and execution of high-performing earned and organic campaigns for PR and beyond.

The Senior Manager Public relations will support the Samsung Digital Appliances division - which includes the industry-leading portfolio of Samsung refrigerators, cooking and laundry innovations.

The role will work closely with the local integrated and product marketing teams, external agencies as well as the Global PR team. This role is responsible for increasing awareness for all product launches, creating end to end strategies for top verticals and events, managing strategic product review programs and cultivating new ideas to maintain market share position, and ultimately shape PR as it supports product conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Drive PR activities for Samsung's and Dacor's appliances line up - Responsible for the end to end planning, strategy and execution of multi-touch campaigns that have wings beyond traditional PR efforts
  • Analyze real-time trends in culture relevant to the Samsung target consumer, as well as industry and competitors, to inform creative earned-first campaigns that breakthrough
  • Oversee content calendar planning activity across PR and media influencer
  • Direct management of PR agency partners - from development of creative briefs and project management to RFPs, contracts and billings, you will handle
  • Develop strategy and attend industry events to drive buzz for the brand and products
  • Effective project management with clear communications across all stakeholders to ensure flawless execution
  • Create and manage dashboards to measure PR impact and shape new thinking for a results-oriented approach to ultimately drive product conversion
  • Creative thinker with great communication skills in both written and verbal form
  • Strong project management skills. Must be able to prioritize and handle several projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with perseverance & problem-solving skills to bring creative ideas to life in ways that likely have never been done before

Skills and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree and at least 8+ years of relatable consumer Public Relations experience with demonstrated success in product media relations where using a proactive approach to the work zone, trend spotting, and taking ownership created results
  • Experience with the earned and new media landscape with an ability to shape planning with agency partners
  • Passion for and/or experience in consumer electronics and technology a plus
  • Up to 25% travel required
