Pet Sitter & Dog Walker — Independent Contractor

Do you love animals, enjoy being active, and want flexible work that fits your schedule? Woofie’s of West Minneapolis is looking for dependable, compassionate pet-care professionals to provide dog walking, pet sitting, drop-in visits, and overnight care throughout Minneapolis and the western suburbs.
 
Position: Pet Sitter and Dog Walker
Contract Type: Independent Contractor — 1099
Minimum Requires: Must be at least 18 years old and live within 5mi of Plymouth, MN

Location: Minneapolis and Western Suburbs
Schedule: Flexible, part-time opportunities
Compensation: Competitive pay per completed service, plus opportunities to earn more through overnight care and additional assignments

Services You May Provide

As an independent pet-care contractor, you may choose from available assignments such as:
Dog walks and exercise visits
Pet sitting and drop-in visits
Feeding, fresh water, medication administration, and basic pet care
Overnight care in a pet parent’s home
Bed & Biscuit boarding in your own home, when appropriate and approved
Updates and photos for pet parents after each visit
Assignments vary based on customer demand, location, availability, and the services you choose to accept.
 
What We’re Looking For

Genuine care and compassion for dogs, cats, and other household pets
Dependability and strong attention to detail
Ability to safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels
Comfort working outdoors in Minnesota weather
Clear and professional communication with pet parents
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and appropriate automobile insurance
Smartphone with reliable internet access
Ability to pass a background screening
Availability during some mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays is preferred
Prior professional or personal pet-care experience is helpful, but not always required
Contractors interested in hosting pets must have a safe, suitable home environment and permission from all property owners, landlords, or associations, when applicable.
