-We are looking for a software developer to help us design, develop and support our client's market data platform.
-Were a small team of talented developers working on all aspects of the system including: client libraries in many different languages, 0MQ based middleware, Web applications, and Hadoop storage and analysis.
-Successful candidates have experience with dynamic languages such as Python or Perl as well as static languages like C, Java or Go.
-Network and system administration skills are a big plus.
-Our client primarily develop on Linux and our client's internal platform so it helps to be proficient with Linux development tools.
-We're a collaborative bunch so it's also important that candidates communicate clearly, accept constructive input, and work well with others.
-We strive to create an enjoyable development environment that mirrors the way many open source projects run.
-So developers who are used to using Github and contributing to open source projects usually feel at home in our client's group.
-Our ideal candidate refers us to projects they maintain or code they have published on the Internet.
-Blogs posts, papers, Stack overflow questions, mailing list contributions and the like are all appreciated as well.
