With all the information available today, it takes a skilled earth scientist to know how to find and interpret the best data to give your clients the right answers. With the critical decisions made in our government and military every day, we need a Geologist like you to do just that. As a Geologist, you use your spe cia lized functional experience and attention to detail to support the development of all-source intelligence reports to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters and protect our national security.

As a Geologist on our team, you’ll help your client by providing intelligence production and briefing support to address dynamic intelligence requirements. You will conduct independent research, technical writing, modeling, and overseeing or advising with allied engineering or science disciplines on soil and geological composition, surface and sub-surface lithology, and minerals to assess foreign underground facility and subterranean characteristics, operational activity, or hydrocarbon production. As an authority on your topic, your client will look to you for comprehensive production, often under pressure. This is a chance to grow your expertise, develop new cross-functional skills, and share your met hodologies with other analysts. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you’ll have resources for mentoring and learning new skills and tools.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in independent research,technical writing, or modeling soil and geological composition, surface and sub-surface lithology, and minerals
  • Knowledge of the DoD and IC
  • Ability to produce high-quality written and verbal products and briefings
  • Active TS/SCI clearance;willingness to take a polygraphexam
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in geology or earth science, or7+ years of experience in geology or earth science in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
  • Knowledge of foreign defense industries
  • Knowledge of IC, DoD, and analytic tradecraft standards
  • Master's degree in an Engineering field such as Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
