Job description

About the Role

Sila is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the evolution of a large-scale, enterprise portal ecosystem used by hundreds of thousands of users.  This role is at the center of a complex digital platform comprised of 150+ integrated applications, supporting a full lifecycle of customer workflows—from purchasing and operations to maintenance, and analytics,. In this role you will own the product strategy and roadmap and lead the execution for this highly visible portal that acts as a single destination for users to get their work done, while helping drive its transformation from a collection of siloed tools into a unified, seamless experience.

\\n

What You\'ll Do Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and evolve the long-term vision for a large-scale enterprise portal and its surrounding ecosystem
  • Partner with stakeholders, users, and application owners to gather insights and shape product direction
  • Translate high-level concepts into actionable product plans and clearly defined features
  • Lead reimagination efforts to unify fragmented tools into a cohesive, integrated user experience
Execution & Delivery
  • Own the product lifecycle from concept through delivery in a quarterly planning model (SAFe Agile Planning Increment (PI) cycles)
  • Lead agile development teams in the delivery of 5–10 fully defined, development-ready features every 12 weeks
  • Balance near-term execution with a 6 to 9-month forward-looking product roadmap
  • Drive predictability and accountability across distributed, global teams
Technical Product Leadership
  • Operate as a deeply technical product manager—comfortable engaging in architecture discussions, system integrations, and data considerations
  • Partner closely with engineering to define what is feasible and guide solution design
  • Ensure features are clearly documented and actionable for development teams
  • Provide strong product guidance across:
    • Identity and access management
    • System integrations
    • Data availability and constraints
    • User interface architecture
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work across multiple application teams to align on integrations and shared workflows
  • Lead discussions with engineering, UX, architecture, and business stakeholders across multiple enterprise organizations
  • Act as the connective tissue across teams to enable end-to-end user journeys
UX & Experience Design
  • Partner with UX designers to shape intuitive, scalable user experiences
  • Guide design efforts to align with technical realities and system constraints
  • Drive toward dynamic, flexible interfaces (not static dashboards)
  • Help transition the platform toward a more modern, catalog or marketplace-style experience
Team Leadership & Coaching
  • Provide direct guidance to distributed teams, including offshore developers and product owners
  • Hold teams accountable for execution quality and delivery standards
  • Coach and mentor team members to raise technical and product maturity
  • Bring a balanced leadership style—supportive but firm in driving outcomes

What We\'re Looking For Required Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management
  • Proven experience working hands-on with engineering teams to deliver complex software products
  • Strong background in enterprise platforms, portals, or multi-application ecosystems
  • Experience managing distributed/offshore teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product execution in structured planning cycles
Technical & Product Skills
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows
  • Experience with identity/access concepts and enterprise platform architecture
  • Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear product deliverables
  • Skilled at writing product requirements that developers can execute against
Leadership & Communication
  • Confident communicator who can challenge assumptions and drive clarity
  • Strong stakeholder management across technical and business audiences
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and elevating teams
  • Ability to quickly synthesize information and create structured product vision
Nice to Have
  • Background in engineering, QA, or systems engineering
  • Experience designing or evolving large-scale digital platforms or marketplaces
  • Industry experience in complex, asset-heavy environments (e.g., manufacturing, transportation, logistics)
