School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Tacoma, WA
Position Type: Full-Time | School-Based | Academic Year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, School Hours

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a supportive school team near Tacoma, WA. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop the functional and motor skills needed for success in the classroom and daily school activities.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and passionate about working in educational settings with students across a variety of age groups and support needs.

Responsibilities:
⦁Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
⦁Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
⦁Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students
⦁Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
⦁Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-help skills, and classroom participation
⦁Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
⦁Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
⦁Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations as needed

Qualifications:
⦁Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
⦁Active State OT license or eligibility for licensure
⦁NBCOT certification preferred
⦁Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
