Job description

Role Summary
A senior File Storage Engineer responsible for providing advanced Level 3 support for enterprise file storage solutions, specifically NetApp and PowerScale platforms. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing high-performance storage infrastructure to meet the needs of financial services clients. The engineer will lead critical projects, collaborate across teams, and develop documentation and automation to enhance storage operations and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement file storage solutions utilizing NetApp ONTAP and Dell PowerScale environments.
  • Provide Level 3 support for complex storage issues, including performance analysis and capacity planning.
  • Develop and maintain platform standards, operational procedures, and build guides for storage systems.
  • Lead and drive critical storage projects, including infrastructure refreshes, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and resilient storage solutions based on business requirements.
  • Develop and execute plans for large-scale storage infrastructure changes and capacity growth.
  • Innovate through process improvements, automation, and scripting to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform capacity analysis, performance troubleshooting, and data protection planning, such as SnapLock implementation.
  • Maintain expertise in storage protocols, hardware components, and management tools like AIQUM, OCI/CI, SyncIQ, and InsightIQ.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives utilizing scripting languages such as Python and Ansible.

Qualifications

  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise storage solutions, specifically NetApp ONTAP and Dell PowerScale.
  • Proven ability to support and troubleshoot high-availability storage environments.
  • Knowledge of storage provisioning, management tools, and data protection technologies.
  • Experience designing and managing NAS storage environments with a focus on unstructured data.
  • Familiarity with on-prem server infrastructure deployments and storage protocols.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and Ansible.
  • Ability to perform capacity planning, performance troubleshooting, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Excellent communication skills to document procedures and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid environment, combining on-site and remote responsibilities.
  • Relevant certifications and willingness to stay current with evolving storage technologies.

Publishing Pay Range: $55.13 - $57.92 Hourly 
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
