What is a contract MSL?

Contract Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) are pharmaceutical or biotech professionals who work on a contract basis, rather than as direct employees, to provide scientific and clinical support to healthcare professionals. They act as a bridge between the company and the medical community, sharing up-to-date scientific information about products, therapies, and research. Contract MSLs may work for multiple companies or be assigned to specific projects for a set period, offering flexibility to both the company and the MSL. They are essential for supporting clinical trials, answering complex medical questions, and educating healthcare providers.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a contract MSL?

Familiarity with CRM systems, medical literature databases, and compliance with industry regulations is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills help MSLs effectively engage healthcare professionals and stakeholders. • Interact regularly with Buildings' discipline leaders and the Project Delivery director to align project delivery with client expectations

  • Boost STV's FedCiv national visibility through attendance of and active participation in regional and national industry conferences

  • The ability to take high-level directives and work independently and collaboratively to execute them.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Deltek GovWin or similar procurement tracking tools, MS Office Suite.

  • A strong working knowledge of federal civilian market procurement practices and a proven history of managing those programs while employed by the government or developing and implementing strategic initiatives to obtain federal contracts while employed in the private sector.

  • MUST hold a U.S. citizenship, a valid REAL ID driver's license, and an active U.S. Passport.

Nice to Have Qualifications

  • Prior experience serving as a Project Manager, Design Manager, or similar delivery leadership role within an architecture, engineering, or integrated building design environment.
