Job description

Job Title: Solder

Location: Huntsville, AL

Shift type: 1st Shift Mon to Thurs

Pay Range: $18.00/hr and above DOE (Depending on Expereince)

Type of role: Contract to hire

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform hand soldering and electronic assembly operations.
  • Install wiring, components, and cable harnesses per work instructions and blueprints.
  • Inspect assemblies and small parts for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain production standards and follow safety procedures.
  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • 6 months to a year years of Soldering experience
  • High School diploma
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination is necessary
  • Must be able to work in a fast-pace environment with a sense of urgency
  • Be able to stand and walk during the 8-10 hour shift
  • Must be able to visually inspect small items for accuracy
  • Must be able to handle small parts
  • Must have manual dexterity
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
