Job description

Job Title: Pharmacy Warehouse AssistantJob Description

This role combines pharmacy support and warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient handling of prescription medications and supplies. You will manage inventory, support dispensing preparation, and handle shipping and receiving activities while maintaining strict storage and handling standards for pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities
  • Support pharmacy and warehouse operations by performing a combination of medication handling and general warehouse duties.
  • Store prescription drugs and supplies properly, including maintaining appropriate refrigeration for perishable products.
  • Monitor, adjust, and calibrate pharmacy equipment to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
  • Assist with dispensing preparation work, including filling and organizing items for dispensing boxes.
  • Create, correct, and apply shipping labels as needed to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Transport packages to shipping, mail, and courier services as required.
  • Monitor prescription drug inventory using the pharmacy computer system and update records accurately.
  • Receive incoming inventory and verify that products match shipment documentation to ensure accurate product receipt.
  • Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies by investigating and correcting errors.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions and organization for prescription drug inventory at all times.
  • Perform cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory levels and identify variances.
  • Complete order processing tasks, including picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment or internal distribution.
Essential Skills
  • Experience working in a pharmacy or warehouse setting.
  • Ability to perform packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory-related tasks.
  • Proficiency in handling pharmacy or warehouse inventory within a computer system.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks during the shift.
  • High School Diploma or GED (or higher).
  • Washington State Pharmacy Assistant License or ability to obtain licensure before hire.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite role in a pharmacy warehouse environment with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Occasional overtime may be requested based on business needs but is not regularly expected. You will work in a setting that combines pharmacy operations and warehouse functions, including refrigerated storage areas, shipping and receiving zones, and inventory storage locations. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 pounds, and performing repetitive tasks such as packing, labeling, and inventory handling while following safety and handling procedures appropriate for prescription medications.
