Job description

At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Malibu, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Malibu, CA

Details:

  • In-Person Tutoring in Malibu, CA
  • Schedule: 10 hours a month; 2x a week for.45-minute sessions
  • Pay rate ranges from $25-$25 per hour

Ideal Candidate:

  • Teaching credential required
  • Experience working with young learners, including students with Autism Spectrum traits, apraxia, or speech/language differences
  • Strong background in advanced elementary math instruction, enrichment, and problem-solving
  • Skilled at identifying and nurturing gifted or high-potential learners while supporting areas of developmental growth
  • Experience teaching reading fluency, reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and language processing skills
  • Able to balance academic acceleration with individualized support for communication and language development
  • Energetic, animated, and engaging teaching style, particularly in virtual learning environments
  • Skilled at creating challenging, interactive lessons that maintain curiosity and motivation
  • Patient and encouraging when supporting expressive language development and verbal participation
  • Strong lesson-planning and differentiation skills
  • Comfortable adapting instruction to match the student's strengths, interests, and pace of learning
