Job description

The Contract Administrator will support risk mitigation through the review, negotiating and administration of contractual documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administer public works and private contracts/subcontracts, including moderately complex agreements
  • Negotiate contract terms within established guidelines, escalating non-standard terms, high-risk provisions, or deviations from company standards to management as needed
  • Identify and rectify potential mistakes or discrepancies in contractual documents
  • Review project-related documents, including prime contract, specifications, and other documentation, as applicable
  • Serve as a point of contact for communication and resolution of contract issues and disputes
  • Work closely with Estimators, Project Managers and Management to complete contractual documents
  • Stay up to date with applicable laws, regulations and contract trends impacting the compamy
  • Log and track contracts and related documentation
  • Produce certificates of insurance required for projects
  • Complete all OCIP/CCIP/UCIP enrollment forms
  • Order and track surety bonds
  • Track contract deadlines, compliance requirements, amendments, and renewals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable construction industry regulations
  • Maintain organized electronic files
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports, and other correspondence
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical functions as required
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
