Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing the necessary work related to the care of the pets and sanitation of the PetCare buildings under general supervision. Pet Experience is preferred.Positions will be assigned to either our dog or cat department. Position is located in St. Joseph, MO facility- must be onsite each day/local candidates preferred.
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $16.50/hour. Please note that the pay rate provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
SCHEDULE:
Four 10-hour shifts
Sunday- Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday
Hours are between 6 AM - 5:30 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform sanitation and cleaning duties of facilities
2. Assist with feeding our pets (placing, retrieving and cleaning food bowls)
3. Perform limited grooming as necessary4. Assist with exercise and socialization for our pets
5. Report to the veterinary staff sick pets or unusual behavior observed in the cats or dogs
6.Report to the Manager any broken or damaged equipment, item or physical area
7. Maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work environment and practice safety in the workplace
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Additional duties as assigned
SUPERVISION GIVEN AND RECEIVED:
General supervision received from the Supervisor
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):
Able to work part time; including weekends and holidays
Ability to work well independently and in a teamGood interpersonal, communication, organization, and math skills
Computer literacy
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS PREFERED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Some animal handling or grooming experience preferred
Please note this contract position provides services to Nestlé in the USA on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment. Contractors in this position are hired and employed through Nestlé's third-party staffing partner.
