What you’ll be doing:

  • You will design functional and sustainable facilities that are user and operator-friendly and enhance the overall community.
  • You will have experience in a range of market sectors which could include the following: government and emergency services, water and wastewater facilities, education, sport and recreation. Further, you will have experience in business development and the preparation of proposals.
  • Your responsibilities will include preparing reports, detailed drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents as well as participating in mentoring, scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration and inspection.
  • You will engage in a collaborative work environment with your team, as well as other disciplines and offices.

Does this sound like you?

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
  • 5+ years progressive experience in Mechanical Engineering within the consulting engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in building load analysis software.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and/or Revit is an asset.
  • Experience with the assessment and design of building HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
  • Experience with energy audits and energy modelling is an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multidiscipline design team and communicate to achieve project objectives.
  • Ability to conduct site reviews to assess condition, determine progress, deficiencies, and enforce contract documents.
  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate innovative thinking.
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
