The Opportunity

CARDON is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to help design, develop, and support our enterprise application ecosystem.

This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys working across the full technology stack, from modern user interfaces and APIs to databases, cloud services, integrations, and production support. You will help build scalable, maintainable software solutions that support operational workflows, business processes, and enterprise data initiatives.

The successful candidate is a strong problem solver who can translate business requirements into practical technical solutions while contributing to application architecture, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Accountabilities


Application Development & Solution Delivery

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications and software solutions.
  • Build modern web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Develop APIs, integrations, and backend services to support business operations.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, practical technical solutions.
  • Support application deployments, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure reliable performance.


Software Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Contribute to application architecture, technology standards, and development best practices.
  • Design secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and developer mentorship.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.


Data Management & Integrations

  • Develop and support data-driven solutions using SQL Server, Prisma, and related technologies.
  • Build secure APIs and integrations across enterprise systems.
  • Support data management, reporting, workflow automation, and system performance initiatives.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and reliability across applications.

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor application health, performance, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain technical documentation and development standards.


Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with business stakeholders and operational teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance during project planning and solution design.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Health & Safety

Support and promote a safe workplace by complying with company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.


Experience & Qualifications

We welcome candidates with a combination of education, experience, and demonstrated technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have:

Education & Experience

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including significant full-stack application development.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is considered an asset. Equivalent experience and demonstrated technical capability will also be considered.
  • Experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting production business applications.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, application design, and development best practices.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise applications in production environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Technical Skills

Demonstrated proficiency in:

  • Modern web application development using TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and NestJS.
  • REST API design, integration, and backend service development.
  • SQL Server, Prisma ORM, and data-driven application development.
  • Redis and application performance optimization.


Additional Technical Expertise

Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset:

  • Microsoft Azure and Azure App Services.
  • Event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
  • Offline-capable or local-first application development.
  • Browser-based SQLite synchronization strategies.
