Job description

Job Title: Mainframe Tester

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Arrangement: Hybrid-4 Days onsite

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 12 Months

Domain: BFSI

Pay Rate: CAD 40-45 /hour Incorporated

Application Deadline: Aug 30th, 2026


SKILLS REQUIRED


  • 4+ years of experience in Mainframe Testing, including functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and SQL.
  • Experience validating REST API integrations with Mainframe applications.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for backend data validation and DB2 database testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Endevor for source code/version control and release management.
  • Experience using File-AID/File Manager for test data creation, validation, and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of CA-7 for batch job scheduling, execution, and validation of batch processes.
  • Experience in test case design, defect tracking, test execution, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and defect management tools such as Jira or ALM.
