Job description

Job Title: Snowflake Data Platform Operations Engineer
Location: Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 6-12 Months Contract

 

Note : W2 Only no C2C

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of Snowflake platform operations/support experience
  • Strong Snowflake administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with SQL and scripting (Python or Bash)
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
  • Familiarity with Linux administration
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Bitbucket
  • Knowledge of Terraform or Ansible
  • Understanding of IAM, user/role management, and access controls
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 support for Snowflake platform applications
  • Monitor platform health and performance using tools like Splunk, Grafana, and Snowsight
  • Troubleshoot incidents and coordinate issue resolution
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and operational readiness activities
  • Manage Snowflake databases, schemas, users, and roles
  • Support IAM integrations with Entra ID (Azure AD) and HashiCorp Vault
  • Execute secrets rotation and troubleshoot SCIM provisioning issues
  • Maintain operational runbooks and support documentation
  • Work with engineering teams on deployments, upgrades, and platform improvements
  • Manage incidents, changes, and service requests through ServiceNow

Preferred Skills

  • SnowPro Core Certification
  • Experience with Power BI, Looker, or QuickSight integrations
  • Exposure to Snowpipe, Snowpark, and stream processing
  • Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex AI services
  • Experience with CMDB tools such as CloudAware
