Contract Logistics Specialist- Cycle Counter

As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. Whether you're leading a team, engineering processes, or driving projects, your work ensures that our customers' products are stored, handled, and delivered with precision. The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for cycle counting, returns, damages, inventory of all products in the warehouse, working with client and OEM's regarding transfers of products utilizing a forklift, reach truck, order picker or other heavy material handling equipment. Understands systems and processes of all internal operation & the dynamics of all material movement within the facility. Identify issues or situations that may affect the overall accuracy of the inventory, and to communicate those observations to the rest of the of the inventory team. The Inventory Cycle Counter can be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping/manifesting and other various duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation of the Distribution Center.

How you create impact
โ€ข Accurately identify product and packaging dynamics.
โ€ข Use system tools to verify locations within the warehouse for preliminary issue resolution.
โ€ข Identify conditions within the facility that are contributing to inventory inaccuracies.
โ€ข Cross train in all internal operations to understand all aspects of material flow within the warehouse.
โ€ข May be required to stack pallets and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
โ€ข Use MH Equipment to move and store materials within the warehouse.
โ€ข Maintain warehouse clean and free of debris at all times.
โ€ข Adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive, but not limited, to OSHA, DOT, EPA and other government agencies. Certification required to handle any hazardous material(s).
โ€ข May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
What we would like you to bring
JOB REQUIREMENTSโ€ข High School or Technical degree
โ€ข 1 year+ prior experience in inventories of a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
โ€ข Ideal candidate will have working knowledge and understanding of WMS systems.
โ€ข Proven basic math skills at the high school level.
โ€ข Must be able to read and comprehend written English to perform essential job functions and adhere to safety requirements
โ€ข Ability to communicate detailed observations of inventory concerns in a timely manner.
โ€ข Ability to learn fundamental to intermediate aspects of current WMS and utilize for issue
