Logistics Team Lead

Location: Haymarket Commissary – Main Street, Louisville, KY

Position Type: Full-Time / Hourly Non-Exempt

Schedule: Requires open availability as weekly schedules may vary

Ready to lead a team that keeps things moving?

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Logistics Team Lead to join our crew! In this role, you will help us run a smooth, safe, and efficient operation. You will lead a hardworking team, keep our inventory on track, and make sure our high-quality products get to our customers right on time.

If you like a steady, structured workspace where your technical know-how matters and your team looks up to you for support, this is the place for you!

What You Will Do
  • Lead the Crew: Supervise daily tasks, train your team, and help everyone do their best in a friendly, supportive environment.

  • Plan and Coordinate: Organize the movement of goods and supplies from point A to point B safely and on schedule.

  • Manage Inventory: Keep a close eye on stock levels so we never run out of what we need or end up with too much clutter.

  • Make Things Better: Spot areas where we can work smarter, save money, and smooth out our daily routines.

  • Partner with Vendors: Work closely with our suppliers and delivery partners to build great relationships and ensure smooth drop-offs.

How We Measure Success
  1. On-Time Deliveries: Keeping our customers happy by hitting our delivery deadlines every single time.

  2. Safety First: Keeping our team safe by watching out for hazards and leading proactive safety training.

  3. Smart Improvements: Helping the team find new ways to cut down on costs and waste.

Skills amp; Abilities You Need
  • Great Leadership: You know how to motivate people and keep the team spirit high.

  • Clear Communication: You can talk and write clearly to your team, bosses, and vendors.

  • Problem-Solving: When an issue pops up, you can figure out why it happened and how to fix it fast.

  • Top-Notch Organization: You can handle multiple tasks and deadlines without breaking a sweat.

  • Eye for Detail: You spot the little mistakes in inventory and shipping paperwork before they become big problems.

Education amp; Experience Requirements
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics plus 1 to 3 years of driving experience.

  • Bonus Points: Having a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or past management experience is a huge plus!

Physical amp; Workplace Requirements

This is an active, hands-on role. To succeed, you must be able to:

  • Consistently lift 70+ pounds.

  • Bend, twist, squat, reach, push, pull, and use ladders.

  • Work with tools and heavy machinery, including box cutters and electric pallet jacks.

  • Work comfortably in extreme temperatures (from freezers below 32°F to warm areas over 90°F), as well as wet and dry conditions.

  • Handle FDA-approved cleaning chemicals safely.

  • Work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Benefits
  • Our comprehensive and competitive benefits package includes 401(k) retirement plan, health insurance options (traditional or HSA), dental and vision coverage, life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, paid time off, and employee discounts.
