Full Stack Developer

About your role:

As a Full Stack Developer you will build application platforms customized to enable more seamless solutions that increase brand exposure, deliver relevant and timely insights to clients, and ensure an intuitive, secure experience for maximum usability while allowing for developer-oriented, adaptable communication protocols, unified APIs, and integrations to multiple Fiserv systems.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and analyze code to debug and document programming to satisfy business requirements.
  • Build features based on functional specifications, participates in code reviews and unit testing
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams
  • Manage and complete multiple technical deliverables on aggressive schedules.
  • Work in a waterfall or agile methodology, collaborative environment, partnering with other engineers to bring new solutions and ideas on the project

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), being Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or Java EE, or similar programming languages.
  • 6+ years of experience in Web Technologies, such as React, RESTful services, HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript.
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud technologies and architecture, such as AWS and/or Azure or similar.
  • 1+ years of experience using GenAI assistants or LLM developer tools incorporating AI into daily development activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience in fintech/payments domains.
  • Version Control: Proficient in using version control systems, especially Git.
  • Testing: Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools like JUnit, Mockito, or Selenium.
  • Build Tools: Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • System Design: Ability to design scalable and resilient cloud architectures using AWS best practices. Microservices: Experience in developing microservices architecture and deploying them on AWS. Containerization: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and services like Amazon ECS or EKS for container orchestration. Cloud Migration: Experience with migrating on-premises applications to the AWS cloud. Performance Optimization: Skills in optimizing cloud applications for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for defining and provisioning infrastructure.
