Job description

Firmware Test Engineer — Local Candidate Search

Client: Boston Scientific
Location: Maple Grove, MN — 3–4 days onsite/week
Duration: Long-term contract
Education: 4-year degree required
Industry: Medical Device required
Priority: Local candidates only — no out-of-state candidates

Must-Have Screening Criteria
  1. Currently local to Minnesota/Twin Cities area and able to work onsite in Maple Grove 3–4 days/week.
  2. 4-year degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  3. Medical device experience is mandatory, preferably Class II/III.
  4. Strong Firmware/Embedded Verification & Validation (V&V) experience.
  5. Hands-on manual firmware/system-level testing.
  6. Requirements-based testing and creation/execution of test cases and protocols.
  7. Requirements traceability / RTM experience.
  8. Experience with risk-based testing in a regulated environment.
  9. I2C and SPI protocol knowledge/testing.
  10. Hardware/software integration testing, preferably electromechanical devices.
  11. Experience preparing verification plans, test protocols, test reports, and DHF documentation.
  12. Experience supporting FDA/regulatory submission activities is highly preferred.
  13. Pump/infusion/life-sustaining medical device experience is a major plus.
