Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OB experience, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM certification.

Details
  • 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms
  • Patient population includes antepartum, laboring, OR, and postpartum couplet care patients
  • Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
  • Nurses rotate through all areas of the LDRP unit, including OR circulating, scrub, and newborn roles at delivery
  • EMR: Epic (experience required)
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating to the main house as a sitter and to a sister facility approximately 27 miles away when census allows
Requirements
  • Active MI RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
  • Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
  • Minimum 2 years of OB/L&D and Mother-Baby experience required
  • Required skills: OR circulating, FHM triage
  • Preferred skills: Scrub
Additional Information
  • RNs perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training will be provided for hearing screen completion
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Holiday coverage is required; holiday RTO requests must remain flexible to accommodate staffing needs
  • No RTO requests will be considered during the first two weeks of the contract
