Job description

About the role:

As a Storeroom Material Handler, you will report to the Supervisor, Inventory Control and Material Handling, and will work onsite at our New Stanton facility. The Storeroom Material Handler ensures the safe and efficient handling of all parts that move to and from the storeroom. You will also Ensure that all required SAP goods movement transactions are complete, verifying documentation is received and maintained. Storeroom personnel are also responsible for completing physical cycle counts of existing inventory to maintain inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange, store, and retrieve warehouse items and maintain accurate location records in SAP, Microsoft Excel, or other systems.
  • Load, wrap, and mark or label stock or equipment on pallets or containers.
  • Follow organization packaging standards of quality and national standards of packaging best-practices.
  • Interface with internal customers and external suppliers daily.
  • Participate in peer-to-peer process, procedure, and safety training as required.
  • Operate forklift in addition to hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and maintain fork truck and other equipment certifications and training.
  • Ability to lift S0lbs.
  • May drive Westinghouse vehicle to drop off or pick up material for plating, testing, other.
  • Complete physical inventory cycle counts, enter data in SAP, and maintain logs.
  • Support production by picking and issuing material to SAP Production Orders.
  • Support customer deliveries by picking and issuing material to SAP Deliveries.
  • Support Planning with inventory transfers
  • Support Planning with subcontracting order requests
  • Support obsolescence review process by picking parts and completing SAP and physical scrap dispositions
  • Monitor supply inventory and place orders or coordinate orders with Shipping department for packaging material used by personnel from the storeroom and personnel from other departments to package products for storage
  • Assist Warehouse personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 0-2 years working experience in a warehouse environment working with inventory control.
  • Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods. Ability to lift S0lbs.
  • SAP experience preferred.
