Job description

EnTech Engineering, PC is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction management firm delivering high-quality design and construction support services for infrastructure and facility projects across the United States. Headquartered in New York City, our team includes engineers, environmental scientists, construction professionals, and technical specialists dedicated to strengthening the communities we serve.
About the Role:
EnTech is seeking a Construction Inspector to support NYSDOT bridge and transportation infrastructure projects throughout New York City and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
  • Perform inspection and oversight of bridge construction and rehabilitation projects in accordance with NYSDOT standards and specifications.
  • Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Monitor contractor operations for quality, safety, schedule, and contract compliance.
  • Prepare daily reports, quantity calculations, and project documentation.
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections and document contractor performance.
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and design teams to resolve field issues and support project delivery.
  • Attend and document project meetings and construction progress updates.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of construction inspection experience on NYSDOT bridge and transportation projects.
  • Working knowledge of NYSDOT Standard Specifications and bridge construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and contract documents.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • NICET, ACI, OSHA 30, or related certifications are a plus.
Location:
  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout New York City and surrounding areas.
Estimated annual compensation:
$90,000 - $120,000/year commensurate with experience and qualifications.
