Job description

Job Functions

  • Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
  • Aid physicians during examinations and procedures as needed.
  • Monitor patienโ€‹โ€‹ts throughout infusion therapy to assess vital signs, evaluate treatment response, and manage any adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Track and assist patients throughout their office visits to ensure continuity of care and positive clinical experiences.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care activities, including infusion records, medication administration, and progress notes.
  • Update patient charts and maintain accurate electronic records using the practiceโ€™s Electronic Medical Record (EMR)system.
  • Prepare, clean, and restock patient care areas, equipment, and infusion tools to maintain readiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure treatment goals are met.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols to protect both patients and staff.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and organization of infusion supplies, medications, and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff development activities, and quality improvement initiatives to support continuous practice excellence.


Minimum Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)license in the State of Georgia(RN preferred).
  • Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • At least 2 yearsโ€™ experience in a fast-paced infusion suite


Abilities Required

  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, including the administration of biologics and the management of central venous access devices (CVADs).
  • Prior experience in infusion, rheumatology, or specialty care settings preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
