Job Overview

We are looking for an individual to join our Operations team in Thailand office as a Logistics and Operations Specialist - Import/Export. This role is responsible for executing, managing and coordinating end-to-end import and export operations. The role is also responsible for coordinating local shipments and other in-house operations. This role ensures smooth customs clearance, logistics coordination, compliance, documentation accuracy, and internal reporting while working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, external and internal stakeholders. We are looking for someone who can thrive in a small company environment that values efficiency and detailed work.

Essential Functions

  • Handle import and export shipments
  • Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers/ shipping company, and other related parties to ensure timely customs clearance and on-time delivery; Ensure compliance with Thai Customs
  • Book ocean/ air shipments with forwarders and schedule outbound pickup
  • Arrange container pickup, delivery scheduling, and trucking documentation
  • Prepare or issue document for import/ export declaration process and handle Thai custom clearance
  • Commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading / Air Waybill, etc...
  • Place Purchase Orders and prioritize scheduling
  • Track and manage purchase orders/shipments
  • Issue necessary paperwork for in-house operations (receiving, picking, and shipping)
  • Work with warehouse team to ensure all products are accurately delivered, documented, and registered into our system.
  • Communicate commercial issues with NG products, coordinate rejected parts handling including returning, scraping, replacing, and issuing debits.
  • Support and oversee warehousing operations; Troubleshooting when problems arise.
  • Track landed and operation cost per shipment (product cost, duty, custom paperwork fee, VAT, freight and any other local charges) and make reports to management
  • Accounts Payable: Collect and enter for payment all invoices and bills of all expenses. General accounting for the company
  • Complete and keep good records of operational logs, timesheet and other document required for taxation, DBD, customs, government audit and financial audit
  • Review monthly bank statements and prepare transaction summaries for management and accountants
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in import/export or logistics operations
  • Knowledge of customs clearance and international shipping procedures
  • Good English skills (listening, speaking, writing, and reading)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Knowledge or experience in rubber, plastic, automotive or manufacturing industry (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge or experience in accounting (preferred but not required)
  • Competent in problem identification and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external colleagues
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks throughout the workday
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor; Self-starter and self-motivated
