Summary

The Chinese Language Annotator will support the research, development, and evaluation of advanced analytic technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for annotating and analyzing Chinese language data (alongside English) across various formats, including video, image, speech, and text. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional Chinese linguistic capabilities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to maintain rigorous quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review, annotate, and analyze Chinese and English language data across text, audio, video, and image formats.

  • Identify, source, and prepare relevant Chinese-language datasets for the annotation pipeline.

  • Apply complex annotation guidelines consistently to maintain high-quality, culturally and linguistically accurate datasets.

  • Meet established production milestones and quality benchmarks both independently and collaboratively.

  • Work closely with research and development teams to refine guidelines and improve analytic technologies based on linguistic insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • Native or near-native fluency in Chinese (Mandarin), with strong reading, writing, and listening comprehension skills, alongside professional proficiency in English.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with an uncompromising attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to work productively both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.

  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred (Nice to Have) Qualifications

  • Prior experience in data annotation, transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis (specifically Chinese-to-English or vice versa).

  • Familiarity with Chinese dialects, regional slang, or specific cultural nuances.

  • Experience with annotation tools or data labeling software.

The salary range for this role is:

$64,500 - $101,850
