Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Configuration Data Analyst - Level 3 to join our team in Chandler, AZ.

The Configuration Analyst plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. The Data Manager reviews contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of a project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.

In this job, you will:

  • Schedule and record/report on status of contractual data deliverables (CDRLs)

  • Ensure accountability and traceability of formal data transmittals and follow-up Customer dispositions (approval/disapproval)

  • Perform quality control and technical editing in accordance with established company formats and/or contractual requirements

  • Perform Configuration identification and control of program documentation with recognition and handling of proprietary and data rights

  • Maintain storage/retrieval systems

  • Perform technical writing to ensure release documentation meets quality standards and contractual marking requirements

  • Incorporate contractually prescribed markings for managing, sharing, safeguarding, and disseminating technical documents

  • Submit documentation to the customer in accordance with contractually required methods/tools

  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off

Job Details

  • The Configuration Analyst will perform technical / procedural writing using Project LifeCycle Management (PLM) tools to support change management, release and contractual delivery of program documentation to the customer.

  • Candidate will support configuration and data management of program documentation

  • The successful candidate will possess a focus on attention to detail with technical writing and proficiency with Microsoft Office M365 and Adobe Pro

  • Track status of contractual deliveries (CDRL) and prepare and submit CDRL documentation packages to the customer

  • Works under minimal supervision. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Accepts DM issue challenges and applies learned skills and problem solving techniques to assess and drive towards DM solutions.

  • Able to meet, communicate, and resolve any Customer concerns with Program-specific Data Management (DM) Plans and Configuration Management (CM) Plans, as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School degree and 4 years of additional education or related experience

  • Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro proficiency

  • Tech Writing and Tools, Procedural Writing/Editing proficiency

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
