Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and mobile ordering devices is typically required. Exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure are crucial soft skills. These abilities ensure efficient service, guest satisfaction, and smooth operations in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

What are some common challenges faced by contract golf course servers, and how can they be managed?

Contract golf course servers often work during peak hours, including weekends and holidays, which can make balancing work and personal time challenging. Additionally, the outdoor setting means servers need to be prepared for varying weather conditions and long periods of standing or walking. Effective communication and organization are essential, as servers frequently coordinate with kitchen staff and work with golfers who may have specific requests or time constraints. Building strong teamwork and maintaining a positive attitude can help manage these challenges and ensure high-quality service.
