Senior Software Engineer - Golang & DevOps
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in Golang development, DevOps automation, and developer productivity tooling. This role focuses on building command-line tools, automation pipelines, and developer infrastructure that improve the software development experience. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on engineering expertise and experience developing scalable, maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Golang-based command-line tools and developer productivity utilities.
  • Build and maintain automation pipelines that improve developer workflows.
  • Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Write technical specifications for new features and enhancements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering toolchains.
  • Lead end-to-end application development while maintaining clean, modular, and maintainable code.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews with an emphasis on quality and long-term maintainability.
  • Support production applications through monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Design and implement comprehensive automated testing strategies.
  • Develop secure and optimized Docker containers using containerization best practices.
  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Integrate static code analysis tools into CI/CD pipelines to maintain code quality.
  • Design and integrate APIs and microservices using scalable and secure integration patterns.
  • Collaborate across teams to design technical solutions and communicate architectural decisions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 8+ years of production experience with Golang.
  • Strong experience developing CLI tools, APIs, and DevOps automation.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with Docker and containerization best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with SonarQube or equivalent static code analysis tools.
  • Strong application development, application design, testing, and production support experience.
  • Strong SQL skills, including advanced query writing, stored procedures, and relational database design.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, gRPC, or service integration.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
