The German National Tourist Office is the central sales, marketing and public relations organization for Germany as a tourist destination. Its tasks are to maintain the positive image of Germany as a travel destination, make an international contribution through the representation of German cultural values and increase the travel volume to Germany. Since 1952, the German National Tourist Office has been established in North America with an office in New York, and representatives in Los Angeles, Toronto and Brazil. Since 2004, the German National Tourist Office New York has become the regional representation for North America and Israel.

We are presently looking for an

Executive Assistant

Starting asap in New York.

Working closely with and reporting to the Regional Manager The Americas/Israel, your duties include:

  • Administration and organization of the office of the Regional Manager:
  • Creation of PowerPoint Presentations and speeches
  • Planning and Organization of events and meetings in the US
  • Coordination of special marketing projects
  • Handling of travel arrangements
  • Responsible for the recruitment of German trainees incl. selection, telephone interviews, coordination of contract and visa procedures, reference letters etc.
  • Organization of the GNTO Advisory Board Meeting New York City and coordination of the workshop in Germany including budget handling
  • Preparation of market reports (trends, facts & figures)
  • Point of contact for German organizations in the U.S. such as Embassy, Consulates, etc.
  • Responsibility for internal invoice processing and budget monitoring in cooperation with our accounting team in Germany
  • Responsibility for office management and supplies in New York City as well as liaising with the IT department in Germany office
  • Organization of annual Market Insight Webinar for German partners

What you offer:

  • Ability to work in USA (Green card, Visa, US-Citizenship)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English

  • Ability to multi-task and handle several projects at one time on tight deadlines
  • Highly organized and willing to manage numerous administrative functions
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
