  • 80 highend STR residences (4–5 bedrooms, rooftop entertainment decks)

  • The Crystal Atrium – indoor/outdoor wedding & event venue

  • Resort‐style amenities: community pool, custom pool bar, pickleball courts, convenience market, 24/7 security, and more

We are seeking a General Manager with significant revenue management expertise to lead all resort operations, drive financial performance, and shape the guest experience for this one‐of‐a‐kind property. This is a rare opportunity to launch and lead a luxury STR resort in one of the fastest‐growing hospitality markets in the country.

About the Role

The General Manager will serve as the strategic and operational leader of The New Cumberland, responsible for:

  • Full‐scale resort operations management

  • Revenue strategy across all STR units and event spaces

  • Team leadership and culture development

  • Guest experience excellence

  • Financial performance, budgeting, and reporting

This role requires a leader who is equally comfortable analyzing data, optimizing pricing, managing teams, and ensuring a luxury‐level guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

General Manager Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations across guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, security, and events

  • Build, train, and lead a high‐performing on‐site team

  • Establish and maintain service standards, SOPs, and quality controls

  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and operational budgets

  • Ensure safety, compliance, and property‐wide preventative maintenance

  • Partner with ownership on long‐term planning, staffing, and capital needs

Revenue Strategy & Financial Performance

  • Lead all revenue management functions, including pricing, forecasting, and distribution

  • Maximize ADR, RevPAR, occupancy, and total resort profitability

  • Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and booking patterns

  • Manage distribution across Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, direct booking channels, and OTAs

  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and performance dashboards

  • Implement yield strategies for peak seasons and major Nashville events (CMA Fest, Titans games, concerts, conventions)

  • Select, oversee installation and maintain PMS, RMS and channel management systems

Brand & Guest Experience

  • Uphold a luxury‐level guest experience across all touchpoints

  • Ensure consistent brand standards and property presentation

  • Collaborate with marketing on promotions, messaging, and revenue‐driving campaigns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 5+ years of hotel or resort hospitality operations leadership, including GM, AGM, Director of Operations, or similar

  • 3–5+ years of revenue management experience in hotels, resorts, or STR operations

  • Strong understanding of STR market dynamics, distribution channels, and Nashville demand drivers

  • Experience with wedding, corporate, or group event revenue strategies is a plus

  • Proficiency with PMS, RMS, and channel management platforms

  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L performance

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with strong operational execution

  • Data‐driven decision maker with advanced analytical skills

  • Inspiring leader with a collaborative, team‐first mindset

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail with a results‐oriented approach

  • Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, opening‐phase environment
