Role Overview
A mid-level Software Engineer is sought to join an Authentication and Authorization team. This role is part of a security business unit responsible for protecting customer and employee access across digital banking platforms. The position involves building and enhancing systems that manage secure identity, access management, and policy enforcement at an enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and enhance systems for secure identity, access management, and policy enforcement.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and distributed systems in a cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
  • Ensure adherence to secure coding standards and contribute to vulnerability remediation.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Utilize version control systems, such as Git, for source code management.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3-6 years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience in Java, Python, or similar backend languages. Experience building REST APIs and distributed systems. Solid understanding of authentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and MFA. Familiarity with secure coding standards, encryption basics, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with identity and access management platforms (e.g., Ping, Okta, ForgeRock, Azure AD).
  • Exposure to banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of containerized environments like OpenShift and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana.
