Job description

Staff Analyst II

Prefer SAP experience(entering data, obtain expenses/revenue to create reports)

$32.00-35.00/hourly

Contract position 720 hours/4-4 1/2 months, can be extended

Onsite, not remote

Examples of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Plans and coordinates studies of administrative and operational activities including fiscal operations, budget preparation and control, equipment usage, staff patterns, work flow, space utilization, affirmative action and training plans; develops reports and recommendations for appropriate action based on an analysis of gathered data.
2. Analyzes and makes recommendations in the development of various budgets and fiscal procedures; justifies and presents less complex budgets; controls departmental purchases and expenditures; reviews financial data on an on going basis to ensure conformance with established guidelines; recommends and establishes general fiscal procedures to improve department operations based on cost/benefit studies.
3. Recommends and establishes contract forms and procedures; develops and processes bid proposals and agreements, interprets contract terms and monitors adherence to same; recommends solutions to contractual problems.
4. Researches methods necessary for specific grant proposals; prepares grant applications and subsequent follow-up; recommends and monitors procedures for grant implementation.
5. Develops and recommends various policies and procedures upon request; develops written procedures to implement adopted policy or to clarify and describe standard practices; designs or improves forms to expedite procedures and coordinates the publication and dissemination of same.
6. Develops departmental training plans; coordinates organizational staff development needs and county requirements; administers training budget.
7. Participates in various meetings and presents requested and independently gathered data to assist management in making administrative and operational decisions.
8. May supervise a small staff; assigns and evaluates their work.
9. Reviews present and pending legislation to determine effect on departmental organizations and presents recommendations in verbal or written form.
10. Prepares a variety of reports, records, correspondence and other documents.
11. Provides vacation and temporary relief as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Eighteen (18) months of full-time equivalent experience supporting management or professional level administrative services staff in any of the following areas: budget preparation/monitoring, fiscal/accounting functions; contracts, bid/proposal, or grant management; research and analytical studies; organizational studies; data/statistical analysis and reporting; organizational/operational/staffing analysis; and/or personnel management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Option 1 Bachelor's degree in public/business administration, behavioral/social science, accounting/finance or other relevant field of study.

And:

Experience: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional level administrative experience, performing analytical duties as a primary job function in at least two of the following areas: budget/financial management, requests for proposal (RFP), contracts or grants management, data analysis, fiscal/budget analysis, accounting, statistical analysis, economics, organizational/operational/personnel activities, or facilities and capital improvement planning.
