We are committed to ongoing professional development and celebrate the unique perspectives that each team member brings to the table.

Employee ownership is available to all Dillon team members, and over 60% of our employees own shares in Dillon. Through employee ownership, we return the financial benefit created by our project work to the very people who created that value. Because we are an employee-owned firm, your voice will be an essential part of our shared success.

Project Management & Design

  • Management of transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, bridge, electrical, drainage, environmental planners, environmental scientists, technical support staff, etc.)
  • Continuous development of technical expertise on a variety of transportation engineering projects, environmental assessments, preliminary design, detailed design and construction phase services
  • Lead the preparation of technical reports and studies to support the development of transportation designs, including EA documentation
  • Lead the preparation of contract documentation, including contract drawings, construction specifications, tender quantity and cost estimates, and working day estimates
  • Management and delivery of stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentations
  • Provide regular and effective communication with clients, develop and oversee project budgets and take overall responsibility for successful project delivery

  • Input to the career development of junior and intermediate staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
  • Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.

  • A degree in civil engineering
  • Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in the province of Ontario
  • A minimum of 10 years related work experience
  • Proven leadership and business development capabilities.

  • Proven experience with the MTO / MEA environmental assessment process, and preliminary/detailed design of linear roadway infrastructure.
  • Previous experience with alternative project delivery models.
  • Demonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Exceptional abilities in project management.
  • Proven skills in public and agency consultation.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Applications (Teams, Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, including experience in the preparation of technical memos and reports.
