Job description

New graduates welcome to apply, we will train.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse for our fast paced outpatient ambulatory surgical center located in Monterey Park, CA. Ideal candidate will be fast paced, professional, and provide exceptional patient care.

Job Duties

Perform narcotic counts at the beginning and end of each day.

Prepare for arrival of patients to the center by ensuring that proper supplies and equipment are available.

Assist with inventory control by conducting supply check including ordering medications.

Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.

Work with all members of the healthcare team in order to provide optimal care to the patient throughout the surgical experience.

Provide patient education during all phases of the patient’s experience at the center.

Provide patients with medications prescribed by physician.

Supervision of Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Review the patient chart and history to assure that the necessary pre-op evaluation has been completed.

Computer skills and efficiency required.

Appropriately document patient care provided.

Ensure that all Patient Consents form are completed.

Perform nursing assessment of patient and begin IV treatment.

Identify and take action to minimize or eliminate risk and maximize safety in the facility.

Provide ongoing information to the patients to assure that they understand all procedures and feel as comfortable as possible.

Wipe down gurneys and recliners between patients with a germicidal solution. Remake beds as needed.

Perform daily crash cart checks.

Assist in the orientation of new personnel.

Display professionalism at work and in the community.

Maintain a friendly, positive and caring attitude with all patients, physicians and staff.

Perform other duties assigned.

License/Certification

● Current California State Nurse License

● Current BLS and ACLS Cards

● Current TB or /Flu Shot

● IV Experience

● Hepatitis and Varicella Titers

Language

Proficient in Spanish required
