Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) - Contract

Location: New Lenox, IL

Shift: 12-Hour Days

Start Date: ASAP

Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience for a travel contract assignment in New Lenox, Illinois.

Job Details

Specialty: CVICU

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts

Hours: 36 hours per week

Contract Length: 6 weeks

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to similar units

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients

  • Care for post-operative open-heart surgery patients

  • Monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and vasoactive drips

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans

  • Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment and recovery

Required Qualifications

  • Active Illinois RN License

  • Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience

  • Open-heart recovery experience

  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications

  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted)
