About the Roles

These roles are designed for engineers at different stages of their careers, with increasing expectations for technical independence, problem-solving, solution design, mentorship, and project leadership.

Level

General Focus

Software Engineer I

Builds core technical skills while developing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining application components with support from experienced engineers.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Partner with engineers, business stakeholders, quality assurance, infrastructure, security, and other technology teams to deliver strong outcomes.
  • Contribute to Agile planning, estimation, sprint execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Document technical designs, application changes, troubleshooting steps, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current with modern development practices, tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies that can improve delivery, reliability, and performance.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting business applications; required experience will vary by role level.
  • Strong understanding of software development concepts, object-oriented programming, relational databases, and modern application architecture.
  • Experience with web, application, database, integration, and/or cloud technologies used in enterprise software development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, research solutions, and explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset, ownership mentality, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering quality work.
  • For senior-level candidates: proven experience leading complex technical work, mentoring engineers, influencing design decisions, and delivering scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, application performance, automated testing, CI/CD, and release management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems, modernizing legacy applications, or integrating applications with internal and external platforms.
  • Ability to understand business needs and recommend practical technical solutions.
  • Technical certifications or continued professional development in software engineering, cloud platforms, database technologies, or related disciplines.
