Job Title: Sales Representative – Residential Fencing & Outdoor Living


Compensation: 100% Commission (Uncapped Earning Potential)

Job Summary


We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Sales Representative with a background in construction and exterior home services to join our team. In this role, you will lead client consultations, evaluate project scopes, design custom fence and decking solutions, and manage sales pipeline activities from lead to close. Following comprehensive onboarding, you will independently leverage our proprietary CRM system to run appointments, calculate accurate estimates, assist with custom project pricing, and ensure a seamless handoff to our production teams.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales & Consultation: Conduct on-site client consultations to understand project needs, evaluate property boundaries, and recommend tailored fencing and decking solutions.
  • CRM & Pricing Management: Utilize our proprietary CRM platform to schedule appointments, generate detailed project estimates, track pipeline progress, and collaborate on pricing strategy for complex or custom builds.
  • Client Engagement: Respond promptly and professionally to prospective leads, answer technical project questions, and guide clients smoothly through material selection and contract execution.
  • Field Collaboration: Work closely with install team leaders and operations to analyze structural requirements, align expectations, and ensure project specs match site conditions.
  • Market Growth: Participate in localized business development initiatives, field outreach, and community marketing efforts to expand brand presence and maximize conversion.
  • Administrative Tracking: Maintain clean records, client notes, and contract documentation within the CRM to support operational accuracy and timely installation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of successful sales experience required; direct experience in residential construction, fencing, decking, or exterior home services is strongly preferred.
  • Tech & CRM Aptitude: Proven ability to adopt and operate proprietary CRM software post-training for scheduling, estimating, and sales tracking.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Strong active listening, interpersonal, and persuasion skills to present solutions and reconcile client budget or material considerations effectively.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Comfort working with leadership and production teams to evaluate scope and price custom, non-standard build requests.
  • Self-Management: High degree of self-motivation, time management, and accountability in a commission-driven environment.
  • Professionalism: Polished presentation, strong ethics, and a customer-first attitude.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client site visits required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or trade experience preferred.


Physical Requirements

  • Regularly conduct field visits across varying outdoor weather conditions and rough terrain.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and kneel to take field measurements.
  • Lift, move, or position demo samples and field tools weighing up to 50 lbs periodically (and occasionally maneuver equipment up to 100 lbs as needed).
  • Drive a motor vehicle for extended periods between client appointments throughout the service territory.
