Job description

Data Scientist I/II (Part Time)

Onsite, Boston, MA (Local Candidates Only)


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with biologists and scientists to set up, configure, and troubleshoot Dotmatics protocols and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support for Dotmatics and scientific data workflows.
  • Optimize Oracle database performance, including SQL queries and database processes.
  • Develop applications, tools, and data solutions for Chemistry and Biology teams.
  • Use SQL, R, and/or Python to analyze and manage scientific data.
  • Collaborate with scientific and technical teams to understand requirements and develop practical solutions.
  • Support improvements to laboratory data workflows, reporting, and data accessibility


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with Dotmatics or a related Dotmatics product.
  • Strong SQL and Oracle database experience.
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
