Job description

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
  • Active Missouri state PT license required. Compact license accepted.
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience required. Long term care (LTC) or skilled nursing/rehab experience required.
  • New graduates considered only if they have Level II clinical experience (not solely Level I observation).
  • Ability to perform standardized assessments, develop plans of care, document per regulatory requirements, and accurately record treatment minutes.
  • Ability to provide wound care and use therapeutic modalities, manual techniques, ambulation training, and assistive devices.
  • Ability to supervise and support PT assistants, rehab aides, and students.
  • BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in long term care or skilled nursing facility settings preferred.
  • Experience with electronic documentation systems preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift schedule: 8 hour shifts, 35 GWW.
  • Shift pattern: 5x8.
  • Weekend requirement: None.
  • Candidate may be required to float to other nearby facilities if needed.

Impacting Patient Care

Effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care and develop appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice. Provide documentation of treatment, progress notes, and comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory requirements. Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and required trainings. Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.
