Job description

The Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing and improving production processes, evaluating manufacturing methods, and optimizing the utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials. This role continuously assesses quality systems to ensure alignment with company and customer requirements and recommends improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and support cost reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes to improve product quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain continuous improvement programs focused on optimizing plant layout, equipment utilization, and workforce effectiveness.
  • Identify and recommend capital investments, including equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures; support implementation of approved initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing data to support production and inventory control systems, including work centers, routings, standards, lead times, and capacity planning metrics.
  • Review customer contract quality requirements and ensure compliance with applicable standards; assist in the development of quality procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align manufacturing processes, industrial engineering practices, and quality systems.
  • Develop CNC programs for a variety of machines using both manual programming methods and software-based programming and nesting tools.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated process improvement and analysis capabilities.
  • Knowledge of production systems, capacity planning, and manufacturing data management.
  • Experience with CNC programming (manual and software-based) required.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and customer-driven quality requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
