What challenges do remote contract EDI analysts face and how can they be managed?

Remote Contract EDI Analysts often encounter challenges such as coordinating with multiple stakeholders across different time zones, ensuring data accuracy during electronic data interchange processes, and troubleshooting technical issues without immediate on-site support. Effective time management, clear communication through digital channels, and proactive documentation are key to overcoming these hurdles. Building strong relationships with IT and business teams, and regularly updating technical skills, also contribute to smoother project execution and successful remote collaboration.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a contract EDI analyst?

To thrive as a Contract EDI Analyst (Remote), you need a strong understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards, data mapping, and transaction processing, typically supported by a degree in information technology or related field. Familiarity with EDI translation software (like Gentran or Sterling Integrator), ERP systems, and knowledge of industry-specific EDI documents is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial for collaborating with clients and internal teams remotely. These skills ensure accurate data exchange, efficient troubleshooting, and successful project delivery in a remote environment.

As a Warehouse Pricing Analyst, you will develop competitive pricing models and financial analyses that support profitable Contract Logistics (CL) solutions. Working closely with Sales, Solutions Design, Finance, and Operations, you will evaluate customer requirements, analyze costs, and assess market conditions to deliver pricing that balances competitiveness and profitability. You will also help establish pricing standards, mentor new team members, and identify opportunities to improve pricing processes and overall business performance.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
• Develop accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing solutions for Contract Logistics (CL) opportunities.
• Analyze warehouse operating costs, financial data, and P&L performance to support sound pricing decisions.
• Create and enhance pricing tools, templates, and methodologies to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Establish and maintain pricing standards, best practices, and process documentation across the team.
• Ensure all pricing proposals align with CEVA policies, financial objectives, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Solutions Design, Finance, and Operations to deliver customer-focused pricing strategies.
• Mentor and support new team members while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of pricing, cost accounting, or financial analysis experience within a 3PL or warehouse logistics environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse operations, cost modeling, P&L analysis, and Contract Logistics pricing methodologies. Experience with facility design and cost accounting is preferred.
• Skills: Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
With a genuine culture of recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey. We offer a benefits package with a focus on your wellbeing. This includes competitive Paid Time Off, 401(k), health insurance and an employee benefits platform that offers discounts on gym memberships and a diverse range of retail, travel, car and hospitality brands, including important offerings like pet insurance.

ABOUT TOMORROW
We value your professional and personal growth. That's why we share plenty of career opportunities for you to thrive within CEVA. This role can be the first step on your career path with us. You can stay in the same job family, find a new family to grow in (how about sales or supply chain?) or find your own path. Join CEVA for a challenging and rewarding career.
