Job Summary:
Perform a variety of equipment related activities in support of Injection Molding equipment and downstream Automated equipment These duties including, but not limited to, set-up, build, and repair. Not qualified to service electrical systems / components.
Responsibilities
  • Responds to maintenance support requests to assist is diagnosis and correction:
    • Supports complex issues under the guidance of a senior maintenance technician.
    • Completes less complex equipment repairs after initial guidance of senior maintenance technician and requests verification when work is completed.
  • Assists and/or completes preventive maintenance events as required and replaces components as necessary with guidance senior maintenance technicians.
  • Focuses on learning equipment process flows including specifications of input materials.
  • Maintains necessary documentation and training in support of medical device manufacturing.
  • Supports facility related tasks including seasonal events such and snow management.
  • Performs other duties as directed by department manager.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated aptitude and desire for learning is required.
  • Flexibility to attend classes outside of the work schedule.
  • Previous training in the areas: mechanical, electrical, electronic or machinist, desired but not required.
  • Previous service repair role is desired but not required.
  • Exhibits good communication skills - verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.
  • MS Office experience preferred.
  • Works overtime as required.

Work Environment:
  • Clean Environments, Medical Device Manufacturing
  • Work near moving mechanical parts
  • Exposure to common machine chemicals or solvents (oil/cleaning agents)
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Standing, Walking - 50-75%
    • Lifting up to 50 lbs. - <25%

Education & Experience:
  • High School Degree orequivalent.
  • Completion of a vocational training program is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment operating various automation equipment OR an equivalent combination of technical trade school/degree and experience.

The target compensation range for this role is $22.70-$32.51 per hour. In addition to the base hourly rate, this position is eligible for a 15% shift differential for all qualifying hours worked. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.
