Job Role: Senior Azure Platform Engineer

Job Location: Houston, TX (100% Onsite)

Job Duration: 12+ Months

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer for a hands-on contract engagement supporting the deployment and operationalization of modern Azure cloud platforms and cloud-native application environments.

This role will work closely with cloud architecture, DevOps, networking, cybersecurity, and application development teams to implement secure, scalable Azure infrastructure and platform services supporting SaaS platforms and enterprise microservices applications.

This is not an architecture-only role. We are specifically looking for a senior-level engineer who can execute deployments, contribute to technical design discussions, improve operational standards, and help accelerate delivery of Azure-native solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and support Azure platform services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement and operationalize Azure governance standards and policies.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments using Terraform and Terraform Cloud.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
  • Contribute to low-level design reviews and provide engineering recommendations.
  • Implement secure Azure networking and connectivity solutions in collaboration with networking and security teams.
  • Develop operational documentation, standards, runbooks, and deployment procedures
  • Troubleshoot and support cloud platform services and deployments.
  • Collaborate with internal infrastructure teams to improve Azure operational maturity and cloud engineering capabilities.

Required Experience

- 5+ years of cloud/platform/infrastructure engineering experience

- Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience in production environments

- Experience supporting cloud-native platforms and Azure PaaS services

- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code concepts

- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines

- Experience implementing secure-by-design cloud infrastructure and governance practices

Meta AI: - Strong understanding of Azure networking and connectivity concepts

- Experience working within collaborative engineering environments involving architecture, DevOps, networking, security, and development teams
