Job description

The purpose of the Technical Solution Architect role is to design and develop architecture that allows multiple systems to work consecutively, build solutions that meet business needs, contribute to North America architectural governance and standards, and ensure that North America is aligned and optimized to global architecture strategy. The Architect is responsible for the planning, coordination, development, and supervision of all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions to meet the business requirements of the organization. This individual is also responsible for developing and maintaining an application integration architecture blueprint for the organization, overseeing testing of the interoperability of application modules including:
•    Those under development by in-house software development teams.
•    Commercial off-the-shelf software deployed in the organization.
•    External third parties as necessary.

Details
Making an Impact
•    Participate in requirements gathering and data analysis; translate complex business requirements into technical requirements 
•    Architect, design and create documentation for solutions with a strong focus on security, performance & quality
•    Partner on Infrastructure related solutions.
•    Develop application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features 
•    Analyze and design various integration components, prepare required documents and execute various integration platforms.
•    Maintain oversight for all third-party processes.
•    Contribute to portfolio design, ensuring technology products and solutions in use across the organization, particularly those which underpin the organization’s digital foundations, align with the technology vision
•    Contribute to business value arguments and business cases for the adoption of technologies and solutions.
•    Develop programming and development standards and procedures as well architecture for code reuse
•    Actively participate in or lead quarterly reviews of technical debt

Sharing Expertise    
•    Communicate with stakeholders to assess their needs and goals
•    Transition newly designed, developed, and tested product to the Infrastructure & Operations team to run
•    Stay current on the principles and practice in use across similar organizations yet be able to translate these into meaningful strategy and initiatives within ManpowerGroup
•    Ensure the technology landscape is reviewed and challenged in a regular basis and to provide the impetus for change and innovation across the organization
•    Understand emerging trends and business strategy to translate into portfolio architecture 

Gaining Exposure
•    Collaborate with business and IT project teams to successfully implement IT systems and new business processes, and set key metrics to measure the success of the implementation such as time to value
•    Set out the required process patterns such as Agile, DevOps and MVP which will yield the best long-term outcomes, and setting key metrics to measure the success of these structures, such as time to market
•    Connection with Global to ensure roadmap alignment

Your Typical Day    
•    Engage the larger IT ecosystem
•    Working on transformation programs and enhancements
•    Evaluate new technologies and organizational processes involved in delivering IT value to the business
•    Travel up to 10%
Other accountabilities as assigned

Required
•    Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or computer engineering. 
•    5 years’ experience in IT, spread across multiple disciplines including infrastructure implementation and support, applications development, business analysis, product / service management and project management
•    Experience/exposure working with offshore and third-party teams
•    Has in-depth knowledge of environment management, release management, code and data migration, automated deployment

Nice to Have
•    Master’s degree in information systems, computer science or computer engineering
