Job description

This position will lead the development and maintenance of Quality Management Systems. You will bring your knowledge and energy to make us better with the creation of new ways to do things. Key Responsibilities
• Create and implement a Quality Management System throughout Operations by working with internal production and Supply Chain teams. Documentation (Standard Operating Procedures) and training will be critical aspects to drive continuous improvement. Examples of activities include: the establishment of quality standards, incoming quality process improvement and increasing organizational understanding of quality principles.
• Oversee quality data, trends and audit methodologies. Implement corrective action and root cause analysis. Drive continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma principles. Provide advanced data analysis and metrics for management review and consideration.
• Engage with customers to understand and resolve major field issues by working cross functionally with Engineering, Operations and Customer Care teams.
• Provide quality leadership to the Product Development Team during design and launch through the development of Quality Acceptance Standards, DFMEA execution, DPPM data analysis, and manufacturability reviews.
. Support operations in both Enwork locations (Lowell & Ionia).
Requirements
• Experience: 5-7 years in a manufacturing role, with specific experience in the office furniture industry being highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred. Related fields or experience is acceptable.
• Technical Expertise:
o Proficiency in statistical analysis.
o Proficiency with quality tools like check gauges, fixtures, calipers, etc.
o Knowledge of BIFMA safety and durability standards.
o Proficiency in engineering drawings. Experience with SolidWorks is preferred.
o Proficiency in ERP systems.
o Advanced understanding of wood-to-metal assembly and mechanical adjustability components.
• Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally.
• Leadership skills to drive change across the company.
