Role: Senior Azure Devops Engineer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days a week in office)
Job Type: W2 Contract
Long Term Contract
 
Description:
Mandatory Skills:
  1. Python — Strong proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, infrastructure tooling, and building CI/CD utilities.
  2. Kubernetes — Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes including cluster management, Helm charts, service mesh (Istio), pod orchestration, troubleshooting, and production-grade deployments.
  3. CI/CD — Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with a focus on reliability and speed.
  4. GitLab CI/CD — Deep expertise in GitLab pipelines, including multi-stage pipelines, templates, shared runners, artifacts, and pipeline-as-code best practices.
  5. Azure Cloud — Solid knowledge of Azure services (AKS, Azure DevOps, Virtual Networks, IAM/RBAC, Storage, Key Vault, Monitor) with experience in cloud architecture and cost optimization.
Preferred / Good to Have:
  1. Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  2. Monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK)
  3. Shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell)
  4. Networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, ingress controllers)
  5. Incident management and on-call experience
