Job description

Job Description Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your skills in support of meaningful work for one of our prestigious client partners. Seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

In this role, you will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to automate deployments, improve reliability, and enable modern cloud-native practices across an Azure environment. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Provision and operate cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes (AKS) Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud environments Collaborate with development teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes Enforce best practices for security, scalability, availability, and cost optimization Troubleshoot infrastructure, pipeline, and deployment issues Contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code Solid experience working with Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, Git, and CI/CD concepts Familiarity with containerization using Docker Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security concepts Ability to automate workflows using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) Preferred Qualifications Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104) Experience with Helm, Kustomize, or GitOps tools Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Prometheus Experience implementing security and compliance controls in cloud environments Background in Agile/Scrum environments The base range for this contract position is $60 - $90 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S
